WOW: Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey Makes Unexpected Announcement About Alex Jones

In a bit of a shocker considering recent developments with the Silicon Valley tech giants, Twitter has announced that it was not banning controversial personality Alex Jones from the popular micro-blogging platform.

This week Jones was banned from Facebook, Apple, YouTube, and Spotify in a “shock and awe” move that reeks of censorship and collusion and the last shoe to drop would have been Twitter.

But that isn’t going to happen yet after CEO Jack Dorsey defied calls from the political left which now smells blood in the water.

The reason? He hasn’t violated the rules.

On Tuesday @jack tweeted:

Via NBC News, “Twitter CEO says Infowars’ Alex Jones not banned because ‘he hasn’t violated our rules'”:

While tech giants Facebook, YouTube and Apple booted content by conspiracy theorist and far-right radio host Alex Jones this week, one company resisted purging him from its platform: Twitter.

Now, after a torrent of backlash from those accusing Jones and his site, Infowars, of peddling false and damaging conspiracies, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey defended his decision in a series of tweets Tuesday night.

“We know that’s hard for many but the reason is simple: he hasn’t violated our rules,” Dorsey tweeted. “We’ll enforce if he does. And we’ll continue to promote a healthy conversational environment by ensuring tweets aren’t artificially amplified.”

He added that the company is holding Jones to the same standard as it does every account rather than “taking one-off actions to make us feel good in the short term, and adding fuel to new conspiracy theories.”

He also said it’s up to journalists to document and vet accounts such as Jones’ so that “people can form their own opinions.”

Kudos for Dorsey.

Unlike his fellow tech oligarchs, he hasn’t claimed that Jones has violated some secretive and arbitrary “hate speech” rule and then used that as an excuse to placated the liberal mob by stomping on free speech.

He will now be ripped to shreds on his own platform by cyberbullies who will accuse him of being a Nazi for not banning Jones.
