WOW: MSNBC Host Says Trump Is ‘Winning’ On Key Issue And Pelosi Is ‘Scared Of Looking Stupid’

MSNBC host Chris Matthews said Tuesday that President Donald Trump is “winning” on a key issue and that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is now scared of “looking completely stupid and impotent” because of it.

During a segment on “Hardball,” Matthews began discussing the feud between Trump and House Democrats over various subpoenas, hearings, and investigations into the administration.

“Where’s this story going because I think that we’re gonna get… Donald Jr. to testify, but I think on the House side they’re gonna continue to stonewall, I don’t think they’re gonna send anybody up there,” Matthews said.

“They’re gonna test their ability to fine them or imprison them in this little cell up on Capitol Hill,” he continued. “They’re gonna make them into a laughing … I think even Nancy Pelosi is scared of looking completely stupid and impotent now!”

Matthews was referring to members of the Trump administration using “stall” tactics and refusing to comply with more witch hunts from Democrats regarding Russia.

“Who’s gonna win?” Matthews asked. “I think Trump is winning this battle against his own government, against both branches, Executive, and legislative, and the courts, he’s winning across the board!”

Matthews point is that Trump and his officials are “winning” because they have basically told Pelosi and Democrats to go pound sand regarding the Russia investigation.

Attorney General William Barr made it clear last month that the Russia investigation is over and that Special Counsel Robert Mueller found no evidence of collusion or obstruction of justice.

During his press conference from the Department of Justice, Barr reiterated countless times that Mueller found no evidence that Trump, his campaign, or any American colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

So that is the bottom line. After nearly two years of investigation, thousands of subpoenas, and hundreds of warrants and witness interviews, the Special Counsel confirmed that the Russian government sponsored efforts to illegally interfere with the 2016 presidential election but did not find that the Trump campaign or other Americans colluded in those schemes.

Barr also stated that Mueller left it up to the Department of Justice to determine if the president obstructed justice.

Barr said he consulted with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and they both determined there was no evidence to charge Trump with obstructing justice in the Russia probe.

The attorney general also made it clear that the White House offered “unfettered access,” “no redactions,” and “didn’t exert any executive privilege, which would be within their rights.”

This means that Trump and the White House provided Mueller’s team with essentially all of the records and documents they requested.

Barr also said that Trump had the legal authority to assert executive privilege to block portions of Mueller’s report from being made public.

The president has been completely vindicated after the two-year Russia witch hunt — and it is time for Democrats to get the memo and move on.
