SAD! Joe Biden’s Niece Admits To $100,000 In Fraud And NOTHING Happens To Her

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s niece avoided jail time on Thursday after a Manhattan Criminal Court judge sentenced her to serve just two years on probation after admitting to stealing more than $100,000 in a credit card scam.

Caroline Biden did not appeal the decision and will serve a two-year probation sentence after she pleaded guilty in June 2017 to spending $110,810 on a shopping spree with her friend’s “borrowed” credit card.

According to the New York Post, Caroline told Justice Curtis Farber at her Thursday sentencing that she “deeply regretted” her actions and appreciated being able to skirt serious jail time:

“I not only acknowledge my conduct and take responsibility but deeply regret the harm caused. I can assure you that I have made amends, full restitution, completed community service and that nothing like this will ever happen again.”

“I love the children, and I’m still working with the volunteer service program now and that’s been very fulfilling.”

As part of her sweetheart deal, which many would agree was only made possible because her uncle was Obama’s vice president, the judge also tossed out the felony count of grand larceny so she could plead guilty to petit larceny, a lesser charge.

As part of the overall deal, Biden’s niece was required by the court to complete 10 days of community service at a children’s hospital, pay back the $110,810 she stole, and agreed to stay out of trouble.

Biden claims she borrowed her friend’s credit card in 2015 to buy an item for $672 at the high-end fashion store Bigelow Apothecaries on Sixth Avenue.

But Biden had much more in mind, where she went on a shopping spree and racked up a total of $110,810.04 in purchases on her friend’s credit card.

Shocking to no one, she didn’t have permission to spend more than one-hundred thousand dollars and the police arrested Biden in May 2017.

As noted by the Post, when police arrested her, she became angry and acted as if she was above the law:

“I shouldn’t be handcuffed!” she screamed to police in 2017. “You don’t know who you’re doing this to!”

She was charged with grand and petit larceny, and it has been suggested by many that the former vice president’s name and stature played a big role in swaying the court to allow her leniency. Not many people would have been able to avoid jail time for racking up $100,000 in a credit card scam.

So, the niece of the former vice president, who reportedly has a history of alcohol and substance abuse, was more than likely able to skirt serious jail time because of her political connections and family name.

More importantly, if she was able to pay off the $110,000 in just a few years, why did she steal the money from her friend? Did Uncle Joe play any role in helping pay off her debt or working with the court to ensure she didn’t go to jail?

This perfectly encapsulates the corrupt system that the American people are sick and tired of, and many would agree she got a slap on the wrist for serious charges.
