MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski used the tragic death of former President George H.W. Bush to attack President Donald Trump.
During a segment on Monday, the panel began discussing the former president passing away over the weekend.
“President Bush’s death also has done what many previously believed was impossible. It’s inspired the current occupant of the White House to briefly behave in a way that’s presidential: with gracious words and a declaration of an extended period of national mourning,” Brzezinski said.
Brzezinski went on to claim that Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were only going to the funeral so that they could avoid “mockery” in the White House.
“But what becomes undeniably obvious with every bio run about Bush 41 is that stark contrast between these two men. Bush served in the military, treated people with respect and dignity and put country ahead of party and self time and time again over his half century in public service,” she added.
She went on to use Bush’s death to hurl a barrage of insults at Trump.
“Over the last two years, deviancy has continued being defined down by this current president, his cronies, his supporters who love telling reporters that they don’t care how deviant his behavior becomes,” she said.
She added: “Let’s see what happens at Wednesday’s memorial service. My prediction is that Trump fakes more respect for a family whose unprecedented history of public service [he] has repeatedly belittled. Then he goes back to making a mockery of the very office that George Bush and this nation long revered.”
While Brzezinski attacked Trump over “decency,” the MSNBC host has a long history of making salacious comments about the president
Last month, Brzezinski called Trump supporters “quislings” on Thursday, which means “traitors.”
Before that, she “joked” that President Trump has a sexually transmitted disease.
After mocking the president for not being cozy with the media, Brzezinski launched into a sick diatribe and found it humorous to claim Trump had a disease.
Prior to that, she referred to the president as a “dictator” because he spoke about his administrations accomplishments during a speech.
She also had a full-blown meltdown on live television after pollster Frank Luntz praised Trump during her show.
“I think because he’s literally screwed everybody in that room over a few times too many. He’s been vulgar. He’s been racist and accused one of the senators in that room of giving sexual favors for money. He’s insulted the wife of a Republican senator in that room in the worst way possible. Your job, what you do, Frank, is you read rooms. You tell me that that room is supposed to respond like this [starts clapping her hands] to the great dictator.”
