California Rep. Maxine Waters urged Americans to get “out in the streets screaming” for President Donald Trump’s head on Wednesday, saying she believes the president is “dangerous” and needs to be stopped.
During an interview Wednesday with CNBC, Waters told host John Harwood that Trump was “deplorable” and that she cannot fathom why Americans across the country are not protesting him and his administration officials.
“I don’t know why people take it. I think Americans should be out in the streets screaming to the top of their voice. Do something. Make something happen,” Waters said.
“Trump is one of the most deplorable people I’ve ever encountered in my life,” she continued, adding that she believes Trump attacking her is racist.
“A lot of people call it racism,” she said. “A lot of people call it– tactics that he has employed that he’s gotten from– the Kremlin, and– Putin, and the way that they handle things.”
But, she added, “I don’t care what he says. He can do whatever he wants to. I know what I’m going to think about him. I think that this man does not deserve to be the president of the United States. He is one of the most deplorable people I’ve ever encountered in my life.”
And, she warned, “He can call me whatever he wants do. He does not intimidate me, and I’m not gonna stop talking about him.”
When Harwood asked if Democrats should try to impeach Trump if they win the House of Representatives in November’s midterms, Waters did not immediately scream her usual “Impeach 45” tidbit.
The California Democrat said she didn’t know what Democrats would do if they retake the House, but added, “I certainly think that he is eligible for impeachment.”
Waters also said she does not support abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement or embracing socialism, two hot button issues that the Democratic Party has been inching closer toward supporting.
"Americans should be out in the streets screaming to the top of their voice, "Do something. Make something happen," @RepMaxineWaters tells Harwood and the #CapitalExchange event audience. This is hardly the first time Waters has called for action against Trump and his administration officials.
Earlier this week, Waters claimed she was “sent by God” on a mission to get Trump and hold him accountable for his actions.
Last month, she told a group of supporters at a California event to confront and harass Trump Cabinet officials when they are in public.
Her calls for violence resulted in pro-Trump Florida Republican Attorney General Pam Bondi being spit on and harassed by liberals, a mob of deranged liberals swarmed the home of DHS Secretary Kristjen Nielsen, and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was forced to get a Secret Service unit.
In a month, Waters has gone from repeatedly urging people to be “forceful” and “confrontational” with Trump officials to claiming that she is on a mission from God to harass the president and anyone who supports him. Her comments would never be tolerated by the media if she were a Republican lawmaker.
Ironically, she continues to make the perfect case for congressional term limits.
