CNN’s Ana Navarro, a notable Never-Trumper, lost her mind during a debate on “civility,” and became so enraged at one point that she called President Donald Trump a “racist pig.”
During a heated CNN panel on Sunday, Navarro and Trump supporter Steve Cortes joined network host Chris Cuomo to discuss Trump’s immigration rhetoric ahead of Tuesday’s midterm elections.
Cuomo, of course, kicked the segment off by accusing Trump of “playing a game” with his immigration rhetoric, saying the president was only using tough language to incite his base.
“You come from the presupposition that he’s racist,” Cortes shot back at Cuomo for essentially setting the stage for Navarro to let loose on Trump.
“No, I don’t,” Cuomo replied, acting bewildered. “Don’t cheapen the logic of what he does.”
Cuomo then claimed that it’s “obvious” Trump’s “milking the hell out of the immigration issue.”
“Funny all his ads are not about people that came through the Canadian border,” Navarro chimed in.
“We have a right to defend our borders!” Cortes said.
Navarro then lost it, and stated several times that Trump is racist.
“Well, I think he’s racist,” Navarro said, interrupting Cortes while he was arguing that Trump has been defending all American citizens.
“He called Mexicans criminals and rapists,” Navarro snidely said. “Sign me up in the category of the people who think he’s racist. He has said so many racist things.”
“You call him a racist when you don’t want to talk about policy,” Cortes shot back, calling it the “Scarlet ‘R’”
“He is a racist pig!” Navarro shouted, visibly angry before Cuomo finally closed out the segment after giving her the floor to hurl a series of despicable accusations at Trump.
Navarro, who previously mocked First Lady Melania Trump by claiming she suffers “oxygen deprivation to the brain,” was attempting to argue that Trump is racist because of his tough immigration policies.
It’s also quite remarkable to see that Navarro, during a discussion in which she was claiming Trump lacks civility, flat-out called Trump a “racist pig.”
And, unsurprising to many, there was absolutely no push back from Cuomo at all.
The migrant caravan, which was part of what the panel had been disusing, is estimated to include roughly 7,000 men, women, and children that are marching north from Guatemala and Honduras.
Last week, Defense Secretary James Mattis authorized 5,200 troops to be deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border in case the caravan reaches.
Mattis’ big move comes as Trump has threatened to send American troops and completely close the U.S. southern border if Mexico allows the caravan of migrants to reach the boundary between the two nations.
Trump has called the migrant caravan traveling from Central America toward the United States a “national emergency.”
The president also threatened this week to pull U.S. aid to Central America if the governments do not do more to prevent the group of migrants from traveling north to the U.S. border with Mexico.
Because of this, Navarro apparently believes that makes Trump racist.
