Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden declared this week that the United States has an “obligation” to give taxpayer-funded healthcare to illegal aliens.
During a campaign stop on Wednesday in California, the former vice president told the crowd that illegal aliens — who broke the law to enter the U.S. — have a right to receive healthcare.
“I think that anyone who is in a situation where they’re in need of healthcare, regardless of whether they are documented or undocumented, we have an obligation to see that they are cared for,” Biden said.
“That’s why I think we need more clinics around the country,” he added.
Biden went on to dismiss the fact that many illegal aliens enter America illegally through the southern border.
This is the second time in recent weeks where Biden has made highly controversial comments about illegal aliens.
A recently re-surfaced video from 2014 shows former Biden arguing that illegal aliens are already “American citizens.”
While speaking at an event for the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in March 2014, Biden asserted that the roughly 11 million immigrants who broke the law to illegally enter the United States are “already American citizens.”
“You know, 11 million people live in the shadows. I believe they’re already American citizens,” Biden said.
“These people are just waiting, waiting for a chance to contribute fully. And by that standard, 11 million undocumented aliens are already Americans, in my view,” he added.
Biden, who was serving as the vice president in 2014, also said he voted for former President Ronald Reagan’s “amnesty” bill that granted legal residency to millions of illegal aliens in 1986.
The resurfaced video from 2014 comes as Biden has announced that he is officially running for president.
This marks the third time Biden has run for president, where he failed to secure the Democratic nomination in 1988 and 2008.
But more importantly, Biden’s announcement comes after at least four women have accused him of inappropriate touching.
Caitlyn Caruso said Biden rested his hand on her thigh even as she tried to squirm in her seat to signal that she was uncomfortable.
This allegedly took place about three years ago while at an event on sexual assault at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
D.J. Hill, the second women, recalled an incident in 2012 where Biden placed his hand on her shoulder and began to run it down her back.
Before that, former Nevada state lawmaker Lucy Flores accused Biden of grabbing her shoulders, smelling her hair, and kissing her head without consent at a 2014 campaign event.
Amy Lappos, a former congressional aide to Connecticut Democratic Rep. Jim Himes, claimed that during a fundraising event in 2009, Biden grabbed her head and pulled her in close to rub noses.
Biden’s 2020 run has already gotten off to an abysmal start, and it’s only going to get worse.
