WATCH: Acosta Demands Apology During Briefing; Sarah Sanders COMPLETELY Silences Him

CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta demanded that the White House apologize to the media for President Donald Trump’s tough rhetoric, and Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders completely silenced him with a brutal response.

During the White House briefing on Thursday, Acosta rudely interrupted another reporter in the room and continued to shout questions until Sanders was forced to address him.

After interrupting other reporters and shouting over everyone in the room, Acosta demanded that Sanders denounce the president for sometimes referring to the media as the “enemy of the people.”

Here’s Acosta’s long-winded, self-serving question:

“You read off a laundry list of your concerns about the press and what things you feel like are misreported but you did not say that the press is not the enemy of the people. I think it would be a good thing if you were to say right here at this briefing that the press … are not the enemy of the people. I think we deserve that.”

In response, Sanders fired off numerous examples of how nasty and vile the media has treated her, forcing Acosta to even apologize to Sanders for how she has been treated:

“It’s ironic, Jim, that not only you and the media attack the president for his rhetoric when they frequently lower the level of conversation in this country. Repeatedly, repeatedly the media resorts to personal attacks without any content other than to incite anger,” Sanders fired back. Including your own network said I should be harassed as a life sentence. That I should be choked. ICE officials are not welcomed in their place of worship.”

“I’m the first press secretary in the history of the United States that’s required Secret Service protection. The media continues to ratchet up the verbal assault against the president and everyone in this administration and certainly we have a role to play. But the media has a role to play for the discourse in the country as well.”

“When I was hosted by the Correspondents’ Association, which almost all of you are members of, you brought a comedian up to attack my appearance and call me a traitor to my own gender.”

Acosta apologized to Sanders for the slew of attacks that she has been hit with, but quickly put his partisan hat back on and demanded that she denounce calling the press the “enemy of the people.”

Sanders responded: “I appreciate your passion. I share it. I’ve addressed this question. I’ve addressed my personal feelings. I’m here to speak on behalf of the president. He’s made his comments clear.”

Watch below:

Sanders obliterated Acosta, but more importantly, everything she said is completely accurate.

After Rep. Maxine Waters called on supporters to harass Trump officials in public, Sanders was forced to get a Secret Service detail after her family was refused service at a restaurant and harassed down the street.

Prior to that, CNN political commentator April Ryan tweeted and spoke about a physical altercation with Sanders after a tense back-and-forth during the press briefing. Ryan “joked” about taking off earrings and putting on Vaseline — which implies a physical altercation.

In May, MSNBC anchor Nicolle Wallace compared Sanders to a terrorist and said she should be choked at the podium in the briefing room.

“How do you resist the temptation to run up and wring her neck? Why can’t she just say if a staffer said that, we’re going to get to the bottom of it and she’ll be fired?” Wallace asked.

Watch below:

Sadly, this is what Sanders, Trump, and many administration officials are forced to deal with every single day.

Thankfully, Sanders isn’t afraid to fight back, and she absolutely pummeled Acosta for having the nerve to demand the White House issue an apology to him and the media.
