The Wisconsin GOP had a major win on Tuesday when they threatened to veto a ceremonial resolution for Black History Month unless a CERTAIN NAME was removed.
And whose name was it? Colin Kaepernick.
As reported by NBC:
The GOP move left Democrats in the tough spot of voting against the Black Caucus resolution or approving the amended proposal that omitted Kaepernick’s name. The resolution, without Kaepernick, passed unanimously Tuesday.
That’s gotta hurt. But come on! It’s not like he wasn’t asking for it.
From Journal Sentinel:
Kaepernick, who was born in Milwaukee, has drawn a firestorm of controversy after he began kneeling in 2016 during the national anthem to protest poor treatment of black Americans.
Supporters say Kaepernick is exercising his First Amendment right to protest what he sees as racial injustice. Critics say he is denigrating the American flag and American principles.
Kaepernick HIMSELF told the NFL the following in an interview after his “protest”:
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”
Those that love the flag and all that she stands for where absolutely appalled at his comments. I mean, was he ever taught the symbolism there?
The colors of the flag are symbolic as well; red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice.
So which of those virtues was he protesting?
Because of his antics, supporters of Kaepernick have given him near-martyr status. He even gained a lucrative deal from Nike:
As reported by Money.com:
Sports agents were hesitant to predict an exact dollar figure for what the deal could be worth — as a similarly large campaign has seldom been done with an athlete like Kaepernick. But due to the sheer amount of exposure Kaepernick’s sponsorship deal has already generated, it wouldn’t be outrageous for it to land somewhere in the ballpark of millions of dollars per year, they said. (Nike did not respond immediately to a request for comment.)
But is that really how someone should be rewarded for slandering our FLAG?
And is it strange that someone who is whining about oppression has his own way of oppressing police officers?
Take note of his infamous pig-police socks, shown in the following tweet:
Those with #TrumpDerangementSyndrome are rooting against Brady because he was once spotted with a #MAGA cap in his locker. Players hate Trump for warring with NFL kneelers. But @Kaepernick7, who wore socks with "pigs" to denounce "rogue" cops=no worries…#SuperBowl pic.twitter.com/ktbxLfvuWs

So, in light of the controversial behavior that has polarized America, it looks like Republicans have protested Kaepnick’s KNEELING DOWN by STANDING UP.
GOP Assembly speaker Robin Vos stated the following:
From the Chicago Sun Times:
“I think it’s important to recognize the contributions of literally thousands and thousands of African-Americans to our state’s history but also trying to find people who, again, bring us together. Not look at people who draw some sort of vitriol from either side,” Vos said.
