Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s home in Washington, D.C., was ambushed on Wednesday night by a leftist mob while he was on-air taping his show, “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
As noted by The Washington Post, the incident was so horrifying that his wife, Susie Carlson, thought it was a home invasion. She locked herself in the kitchen pantry and called police. Thankfully, their four children were not home at the time, but it was still undoubtedly traumatic for her.
In videos of the incident posted to Twitter by leftist group “Smash Racism DC,” the angry group stood outside Carlson’s home and chanted that they wanted to “fight” him and demanded he leave town.
Members of the group also reportedly rammed into the front door so hard that they cracked it.
“I called my wife,” Carlson told the Post in a phone interview. “She had been in the kitchen alone getting ready to go to dinner and she heard pounding on the front door and screaming. … Someone started throwing himself against the front door and actually cracked the front door.”
Tucker's wife was home alone when the violent left-wing protesters gathered outside their house.

The group has deleted the tweet, and the Twitter account has since been “suspended.”
“Tucker Carlson, we are outside your home,” one person can be heard yelling in the video. One of the protesters was using a bullhorn, and shouted that Carlson has been “promoting hate” and “an ideology that has led to thousands of people dying.”
“We want you to know, we know where you sleep at night,” the person said, which many view as a direct threat to their safety. “Tucker Carlson, we will fight! We know where you sleep at night!”
“Activists ring doorbell, hold protest at the Washington DC area home of [Tucker Carlson], racist, sexist, bigoted FOX News personality. So far no one has opened the door,” said a caption to one of the videos. “Tucker Carlson, we will fight! We know where you sleep at night!”
In the clip below from the Post, the protesters can be heard chanting:
After roughly 20 people had gathered outside Carlson’s home, authorities received a call around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and responded “within a few minutes.”
Carlson said the crowd of angry protesters had blocked off both ends of his street, and many were carrying large signs that listed his home address.
The group called Carlson a “racist scumbag” and demanded that he “leave town.” In one of the videos, Carlson told the Post that a woman could be heard saying she wanted to “bring a pipe bomb” to his house.
Carlson said the group showed up to threaten and scare his family.
“It wasn’t a protest. It was a threat. They weren’t protesting anything specific that I had said. They weren’t asking me to change anything. They weren’t protesting a policy or advocating for legislation. … They were threatening me and my family and telling me to leave my own neighborhood in the city that I grew up in.”
As many noted on Twitter, it is downright horrifying that this massive group not only swarmed Carlson’s home, they also made Tucker’s wife believe their home was being broken into.
She locked herself into a pantry while preparing dinner, and called the police because she thought their home was being attacked. That’s how horrifying the situation was, according to the Carlson family.
The Fox host said his family was “very upset” by the protesters, and that he worries about leaving his family alone at home.
“How can you go out for dinner and leave the kids at home at this point? If they’re talking about pipe bombs … how do you live like that? I probably won’t open another package sent to our house from now on.”
“I don’t think I should be threatened in our house. I think I should fight back, and I plan to. I’m not going to be bullied and intimidated.”
