President Donald Trump has responded in hilarious fashion to singer Taylor Swift’s shocking condemnation of Republican Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s campaign for a Senate seat in Tennessee.
“Marsha Blackburn is doing a very good job now in Tennessee,” Trump said Monday while speaking with reporters outside the White House. “She’s leading now substantially, which she should. She’s a tremendous woman. I’m sure Taylor Swift doesn’t know anything about her. Let’s say I like Taylor’s music about 25% less now, OK?”
Now that’s savage!
While savage, Trump’s remarks were also correct. As a 28-year-old teenybopper, Swift really does know nothing + nothing + nothing, as evidenced by her uninformed opinions about Blackburn’s allegedly offensive political positions.
“Running for Senate in the state of Tennessee is a woman named Marsha Blackburn. As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn. Her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me,” Swift wrote in a since-viral Instagram post Sunday.
As examples, she cited Blackburn’s vote “against equal pay for women” and the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, the latter of which the pop star claimed “attempts to protect women from domestic violence, stalking, and date rape.”
Both claims were outright fabrications. Blackburn has in reality voted against laws that would have made it easier for women to file frivolous wage-discrimination suits. She’s voted against such laws because she recognizes that the so-called “gender wage gap” is a myth.
Blackburn only opposed the reauthorization of VAWA in 2013, when the bill was expanded to include special clauses for LGBT people, Native Americans, and illegal immigrants.
“When you start to make this about other things it becomes an ‘against violence act,’ and not a targeted focus act,” Blackburn explained. “I didn’t like the way it was expanded to include other different groups.”
“What you need is something that is focused specifically to help the shelters and to help out law enforcement, who is trying to work with the crimes that have been committed against women and helping them to stand up,” the congresswoman added.
In other words, Blackburn supports the Violence Against Women Act. Indeed, she voted to reauthorize it — before it became expanded beyond recognition. (By the way, the newer version counts as “women” men who identify as women.
Either Swift didn’t realize this, or she’s among the deluded leftists who think men in dresses are in actuality women. No, they’re not.
In her Instagram post, the singer also accused Blackburn of believing “businesses have a right to refuse service to gay couples.” That too was a lie. The Tennessee representative believes in religious liberty, not religion-based discrimination.
In the case of Jack Phillips, the owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, she believed he had the right to not bake a custom cake for a gay wedding. But neither she nor Phillips ever said he had a right to refuse outright service to gay couples.
Did Swift realize any of of this before she published her post? Of course not. Like every brainwashed millennial, she knows only whatever lies the left-wing media have fed her. When it comes to actually knowing real facts and information, “Taylor Swift doesn’t know anything!“
