One of the juiciest of dreams for the Democrats is that the hated Ted Cruz can be toppled in his reelection bid this November.
In looking to take down terrible Ted, the political left has staked their hopes on Robert Francis O’Rourke who in an effort to appeal to Latinos goes by Beto and who is now rolling in the dough having raked in a whopping $10.4 million over the last three months.
Where is the money coming from?
Look west to California where the Hollywood elite is writing checks in the hope of avenging Cruz’s defeat of Jimmy Kimmel in last month’s charity basketball game and to strike a blow in the war on America by taking out Cruz. It would be a huge political upset, perhaps even bigger than President Trump’s takedown of Hillary which has resulted in booming business for Beverly Hills shrinks ever since.
And the celebs just love Beto!
Hey, Texas! I suppose you're going to re-elect Ted Cruz, but I hope you don't. Beto O'Rourke is mega-cool. Smart, too. Also, jeez, do we have to look at Ted for another six years? The mind reels.

Beto O’Rourke, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Texas, raised more than $10.4 million over the past three months, he announced Wednesday, revealing a sum that takes his already massive fundraising to new heights.
And the El Paso congressman again vastly outraised the Republican incumbent, Ted Cruz, who took in less than half of his challenger’s haul — $4.6 million — in the same time, according to his campaign. O’Rourke also took a decisive lead in cash on hand over Cruz with four months to Election Day, $14 million to $10.4 million.
O’Rourke’s latest haul is easily his biggest yet — topping the $6.7 million he raked in during the first quarter, which was far more than Cruz raised for the same period. Cruz’s second-quarter fundraising also was his largest yet, though not nearly enough to keep up with O’Rourke’s torrid pace.
O’Rourke has now outraised Cruz for every period but one since O’Rourke launched his Senate bid in March 2017.
And Beto wants more which he will soon get after a fundraising trip to Southern California charmed the pants off of the celeb high-rollers who are underwriting his campaign.

According to Variety “Beto O’Rourke, Seeking to Oust Ted Cruz, Returns to L.A. for Fundraiser”:
Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D-Texas), seeking to unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and land one of the year’s biggest midterm upsets, is back in Los Angeles on Monday to raise campaign cash.
He’ll be at the home of actress Nancy Stephens and director-producer Rick Rosenthal for an evening reception, with ticket prices starting at $250 per person. Those who contribute $2,700 per person or raise at least $5,000 earn a spot on the host committee.
Co-hosts for Monday’s event include Tom and Ellen Hoberman, Phil Mercado and Todd Quinn, Cotty Chubb, Pat Klous and Roman Silberfeld, Charles Horak, Thao Nguyen and Andreas Krainer, Alan Rosenberg, Cate Park, Jon Vein and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Marilyn Bitner, Jonathan Berry, Wendy Wanderman and Lynne Wasserman.
O’Rourke has trekked to L.A. at least two other times for fundraising events.
And he’ll likely make the westward trip many more times before November but Democrats are looking at very steep odds at springing the upset in a staunchly conservative state but this isn’t the first time that they’ve pissed away millions on a gimmicky candidate and it won’t be the last.
Cruz must be quaking in his boots.
