President Donald Trump gave White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders an emotional farewell on Thursday after announcing that she will be leaving her position at the end of the month.
According to three sources who spoke to The Daily Wire, a new name has already emerged from multiple sources for who could possibly replace Sanders.
Stephanie Grisham, the White House Director of Communications for First Lady Melania Trump, is now considered the frontrunner.
Grisham has been refereed to as a “stone cold killer” who has been a loyal soldier to Trump dating all the way back to the campaign trail in 2015.
One source told The Daily Wire:
“Stephanie is one of the last remaining Trump ‘originals’ in the White House. She’s been with him since the beginning, is unquestionably loyal and has the respect of the press corps. She’d be a total home run as press secretary — both for the President and his supporters.”
The second source added:
Grisham “has proven herself to be a stone-cold killer” and that “no one else comes close” to being able to match Grisham in her ability to command problems that arise.
Grisham is a “risk-free move for the administration in the run-up to perhaps the most important election in American history.”
A third source who previously worked for the Trump administration added:
“Stephanie Grisham is a favorite of Trump loyalists, many in the national press corps, and most important, the Trump family. The First Lady loves Stephanie’s tenacity and loyalty, and President Trump has remarked that he respects Stephanie’s ability to stay cool under pressure and manage the toughest of news cycles. Stephanie might not be the first name that comes to mind for this role, but she’s the one person inside or outside the building who everyone nods their head and says, ‘She’d be great.'”
Hours before Grisham’s name was reported, Trump announced that Sanders would be leaving her top position and spoke very highly of her during an event at the White House on Thursday.
“After 3 1/2 years, our wonderful Sarah Huckabee Sanders will be leaving the White House at the end of the month and going home to the Great State of Arkansas,” Trump said. “She is a very special person with extraordinary talents, who has done an incredible job! I hope she decides to run for Governor of Arkansas – she would be fantastic. Sarah, thank you for a job well done!”
“We’ve been through a lot together and she’s tough, but she’s good,” Trump said.

What will Sanders do next?
According to recent reports, Sanders is seriously considering running for governor in her home state of Arkansas when the seat is open in 2022.
She certainly has a strong chance of winning if she runs.
