“Spreading Like Poison”; BBC Reports Sharp Rise In Anti-Semitic Attacks in Germany, France

In the wake of the Antisemitic scandal caused by remarks from Omar Ilhan and other freshman legislators, many are asking how we got to where we are.

Do our young, ignorant law-makers know the evils of the Holocaust and how it was able to occur?

In light of this, take note of an article that came out Wednesday highlighted some shocking data regarding the rise of Antisemitism in Germany and France.

As reported by BBC:

Crime data, detailed in German media on Wednesday, says 1,646 crimes were linked to a hatred of Jews in 2018 – showing a yearly increase of 10%.

BBC went on to say:

It also revealed a 60% rise in physical attacks – with 62 violent incidents recorded, up from 37 in 2017.

If that doesn’t move you, then perhaps watching a horrific Antisemitic attack will. An example can be seen in the following video where an Israeli-Palestinian teen, who IS NOT JEWISH, wears a yamika to run an EXPERIMENT.

He believes that there’s no credibility to the accounts of violence and he decides to “prove” that it’s safe to be a Jew in Germany.

The results were disastrous for him.

Do you think that this type of violence is rare, and only occurring in Germany?

Think again.

As reported by BBC:

…French politicians spoke out about a sharp rise of incidents in their own country.

French Interior minister, Christophe Castaner, has warned that anti-Semitism is “spreading like poison”.

As reported by CBC:

There are crimes other than murder. According to police statistics cited in the manifesto, French Jews are 25 times more likely to suffer attacks than Muslims in France, despite the fact that the Muslim population is 10 times larger.

As you’ll see below, it isn’t just Germany and France that are experiencing alarming rates of Antisemitism. The phenomenon can be seen all over the world.

As reported by the Independent:

More than 100 antisemitic incidents are being recorded every month in Britain as monitors warn bigots are becoming “more confident to express their views”.

Children as young as 11 have been physically attacked, while appalling graffiti has been daubed on homes and synagogues and MPs have been targeted with antisemitic abuse after speaking out on the issue.

As reported by the Toronto CTV News:

Hohman and Fishman say Canada has seen a rise of anti-Semitism in all its forms online, at public protests, in politics, on university campuses and in several “brazen” public assaults.

As reported by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency:

The outburst occurred when Mexican Liberal Deputy Felix Diaz Escobar introduced a measure intended to exempt Jews born in Axis countries from governmental restrictions against Axis nationals. Mexican Deputy Zinounegui Tercere and his rightist colleague, Marquez Ricane, took exception to the proposal with a violent attack against Jews in general.

“When I heard the proposal,” Deputy Tercero declared, “I thought for the moment that I was in the obscurity of a synagogue rather than the Mexican Congress. The Jews,” he went on, “have greatly harmed our people.” He added that he was “horrified at the work of international Jewry.”

Considerable applause greeted Tercere’s attack.

As reported by the Jerusalem Post:

A new academic study by the Israel Journal of Foreign Affairs has described “a surge” in hostility to Jews and Israel in Polish media and politics in 2018 following the efforts to pass a controversial law making it a crime to say that the Polish state or nation was complicit in the Holocaust.

According to the study written by Dr. Rafał Pankowski, a sociology professor at Warsaw’s Collegium Civitas, there has been a “disturbing revival of antisemitism” in Poland since the law was introduced and stirred controversy.

As reported by the BBC:

“All Jews must die,” the suspected gunman reportedly said as he shot indiscriminately against worshipers gathered for their Sabbath rituals at the Tree of Life synagogue. Eleven people, aged between 54 and 97, were killed.

The deadliest anti-Semitic attack in recent US history hit the heart of this “vibrant Jewish oasis”, as some called it. For many in Squirrel Hill, and certainly elsewhere, it did not come as a total surprise.

So in light of all of the Antisemitism, is it any wonder that we have it in our own legislative body?

From the Daily Wire:

Ocasio-Cortez’s defense of Omar came after Omar’s latest anti-Semitic incident over the weekend when Omar “displayed her blatant anti-Semitism by tweeting that GOP support for Israel was ‘all about the Benjamins,’ and followed by accusing AIPAC of paying American politicians to support Israel.”

So what will the democrats do? Will they stand for Israel against that hate-speech that’s being flung?

Or will they join with the ever-increasing number of people around the world who are turning a blind eye?
