SICK: Ocasio-Cortez Does The UNTHINKABLE Following The Tragic Attack In New Zealand

In response to the tragic attack on two Mosques in New Zealand on Friday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mocked the power of prayer on Twitter.

The radical congresswoman took very little time to turn the deaths of 49 Muslims into a political hit job as she blasted all those who were praying for the victims.

Keep in mind that the Muslims were literally killed while they were practicing mid-day prayer.

This attack on prayer is an attack on everyone from every religion who prays, even the Muslims who were killed from the attack.

“At first I thought of saying, ‘Imagine being told your house of faith isn’t safe anymore.’ But I couldn’t say ‘imagine,’” Ocasio-Cortez said in her first reaction to the massacre. “What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe?” the congresswoman said via Twitter.

Ocasio-Cortez then tried to “clarify” what she meant by the tweet and went on to blame the NRA.

The congresswoman realized that her original tweet attacked all forms of prayer (which is very hurtful to the Muslim population who had just lost members of their church while praying) so she tried to deflect to blame it on the NRA.

So “thoughts and prayers” are only bad if it’s Christians or members of the NRA?

If you attack “prayer” you are attacking everyone who prays.

This statement from Ocasio-Cortez is a direct attack on the Muslims who just lost their brothers and sisters.

These idiotic tweets from Ocasio-Cortez received lots of backlash from conservatives on Twitter.

Chet Cannon pointed out how the people were killed in their house of prayer and how it’s ridiculous that Ocasio-Cortez would attack prayer right after the event.

The Washington Examiner’s Siraj Hashimi blasted the radical congresswoman by saying, “this is incredibly insensitive to my Muslim brothers and sisters who were slain in cold blood while they were literally praying because they want to be closer to their creator and they want to become better people.”

Caleb Hull noted, “imagine thinking it’d be a good idea to attack prayer after a terrorist attack on a place that only exists because people pray.”

Dana Loesch of the NRA even had some choice words saying, “Pretty sure thoughts and prayers isn’t anyone’s phrase, and prayer especially (which you mocked earlier after what happened in a house of prayer?) is a real action, a petition to, a conversation with, God — in this case, to request protection, comfort for those suffering.”

It’s appalling that a sitting member of Congress would use the opportunity to attack prayer directly after an attack where Muslims were engaging in prayer before they were killed.

It’s also shocking that Ocasio-Cortez would use this opportunity to attack the NRA who has absolutely nothing to do with the gun laws in New Zealand.

Once again Ocasio-Cortez is proving that she knows very little about anything she talks about.
