Twice failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton refuses to go away.
During an interview Friday with The Guardian’s Decca Aitkenhead, the former secretary of state turned into a stuttering mess while attacking First Lady Melania Trump. She also rejected the idea of civility toward Trump administration officials.
Clinton was asked about the first lady and what she thought about President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, which led to Clinton smearing the administration.
Aitkenhead wrote that she asked Clinton about the jacket that the first lady wore to visit a child detention center in Texas late last month, which read on the back, “I really don’t care, do u?”
Predictably, the jacket sent the liberal media into a frenzy, with many claiming the slogan was a message to critics. She only wore the jacket briefly while boarding the plane at the White House, and did not wear it at the facility. But, liberals won’t let facts get in the way of their hate-filled agenda.
Aitkenhead writes that Clinton took a swipe at Melania Trump:
“Clinton slumps back in her chair, wide-eyed, arms spread, defeated by the mystery. ‘That, I have no idea. I have no idea. I can’t even … I don’t have any idea. I don’t know.’ Does she feel sorry for the first lady? ‘I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.’”
Later in the interview, Clinton also rejected the idea of civility when asked about Democratic lawmakers encouraging harassment and confrontations with Trump cabinet officials in public.
“Give me a break! What is more uncivil and cruel than taking children away? It should be met with resolve and strength. And if some of that comes across as a little uncivil, well, children’s lives are at stake; their futures are at stake. That is that ridiculous concept of bothsideism.”
Aitkenhead writes that Clinton also mocked people who call for civility in political discourse, saying the former secretary of state “rolled her eyes” over the idea of treating Trump administration officials with respect:
“Well, you know, somebody made an insulting, profane remark about President Trump, and he separated 2,300 children from their families, that’s both sides, and we should stop being uncivil — oh, and, by the way, he should stop separating children.”
Oddly enough, Clinton never once called for resolve, strength, and incivility when her boss, former President Barack Obama, was separating tens of thousands of children at the border.
In fact, Clinton got busted trying to fundraise off the “border crisis.”
Still bitter from her epic loss to Trump, Clinton’s never-ending excuse tour has hit a new embarrassing low.
Peddling excuses for her loss is one thing, but attacking the first lady and rejecting the idea of civility toward Trump administration officials is disgusting.
