Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden drew grunts, moans, and awkward laughs from a crowd on Tuesday when he “joked” about his inappropriate touching.
During a town hall in Berlin, New Hampshire, Biden noticed that one of the women in attendance was sitting on the floor.
Biden then briefly paused and grabbed her a chair.
As Biden offered the woman a hand to help her up, she began whispering something into his ear.
“Okay,” Biden said as he pulled away from the exchange.
“We have a little secret going on here,” Biden told the crowd.
“I want the press to know — she pulled me close!” Biden said, with some in the audience laughing and others groaning in disbelief.
In the clip below, a panel of journalists on CNN were in complete shock over Biden’s comments and excoriated him for making light of his inappropriate touching.
“For him to be joking about that stuff was just unnecessary,” New York Times reporter Julie Hirschfeld Davis said.
“Every time he does that, it kind of brings that up again,” another noted.
Biden was clearly referencing the renewed controversy surrounding his physical interactions with women over the years.
After several women have come forward in the last week to accuse him for inappropriate touching and behavior, Biden apparently believes it is all a joke.
Biden spoke at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Conference earlier this year and wasted little time joking about the allegations against him.
At one point in his speech, Biden invited a group of kids onto the stage with him and brought one young boy over close to him.
After putting his arm around the young boy, Biden said, “by the way, he gave me permission to touch him.”
Biden and the room laughed and found the disgusting joke to be quite hilarious.

Biden finding it comical to joke about having permission to touch kids came after four women have accused the former vice president of inappropriately touching them.
Caitlyn Caruso and D. J. Hill both recalled their experiences with Biden touching them inappropriately and making them feel uncomfortable.
Caruso said Biden rested his hand on her thigh even as she tried to squirm in her seat to signal that she was uncomfortable.
Hill recalled an incident with Biden in 2012, claiming that the then-vice president placed his hand on her shoulder and began to run it down her back, which she said made her “very uncomfortable.”
Hill’s and Caruso’s statements follow allegations brought by two other women — former Nevada state lawmaker Lucy Flores and Amy Lappos, a former congressional aide to Connecticut Democratic Rep. Jim Himes.
Flores published a column and accused Biden of grabbing her shoulders, smelling her hair, and kissing her head without consent at a 2014 campaign event.
Lappos claimed that during a fundraising event in 2009, Biden grabbed her head and pulled her in close to rub noses.
Despite four women accusing Biden of highly inappropriate behavior in the past week, it’s all apparently just one big joke to him.
