Seth Meyers Mocks Illegal Immigrant Crime, Gets PLASTERED On Twitter

Another liberal late night “comedian” attempted to mock illegal immigration crime in America, and it backfired badly.

President Donald Trump delivered an address to the nation from the Oval Office on Tuesday night to discuss the partial government shutdown and the need for strong border security.

Just minutes after Trump’s address, the official Twitter account for Seth Myers’ NBC show mocked the president for detailing the cases of innocent Americans who were killed by illegal aliens.

“Is this Oval Office: SVU?” Meyers tweeted, referring to the show “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.”

Attempting to mock Trump and innocent Americans killed by illegal aliens angered many on social media.

As of Wednesday morning, Meyers tweet had received over 5,000 replies but less than 200 retweets, with almost all of the responses slamming the awful “joke.”

Trump’s Oval Office address was well received and he was applauded by many for delivering a strong and compassionate speech to the nation on a hot topic issue.

Do you think Trump cut foreign aid to countries who send migrants?

“Every day, Customs and Border Patrol agents encounter thousands of illegal immigrants trying to enter our country,” Trump said, noting that Customs and Border Patrol apprehended roughly 50,000 people in 2018 trying to cross the border illegally.

Trump also slammed Schumer and other Democrats for previously supporting border barriers, yet they don’t know all of a sudden.

“Senator Chuck Schumer, who you will be hearing from later tonight, has repeatedly supported a physical barrier in the past, along with other Democrats,” Trump said.

POLL: Who do you blame for the Government shutdown – Trump or the Democrats?

In fact, Trump’s speech was so good that conservative commentator Ann Coulter showered praise on the president for his speech.

In a series of tweets, Coulter called it a “beautiful speech.”

Soon after Trump’s speech, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer delivered an angry, stone-called speech of their own.

Who would win a 2020 matchup – Trump or Warren?

Like Myers, Pelosi and Schumer delivered a speech filled with anger that likely did not resonate with many Americans who want border security and support tough immigration laws.

“The fact is: the women and children at the border are not a security threat, they are a humanitarian challenge — a challenge that President Trump’s own cruel and counterproductive policies have only deepened,” Pelosi said, playing up the theatrics for the cameras.

“And the fact is: President Trump must stop holding the American people hostage, must stop manufacturing a crisis and must reopen the government,” she added.

Schumer had a similar message and blamed Trump for the government shutdown.

“Most presidents have used Oval Office addresses for noble purposes. This president just used the backdrop of the Oval Office to manufacture a crisis, stoke fear, and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration,” he said.
