Senate Panel’s Report On FBI Probe Finds ‘No Evidence’ To Back Kavanaugh Accusers’ Claims

letter to Senate Republicans from the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman said Friday that the FBI investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh found “no evidence” to back the claims set forth by his accusers.

As reported by Fox News, the 414-page report released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, states that investigators interviewed more than 40 people, monitored social media, news reports, and reviewed evidence provided by Kavanaugh and his accusers.

“This was a serious and thorough investigation that left no stone unturned in our pursuit of the facts,” said committee Chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, in a statement regarding the 414-page report. “In the end, there was no credible evidence to support the allegations against the nominee.”

“Following the separate and extensive investigations by both the Committee and the FBI, there was no evidence to substantiate any of the claims of sexual assault made against Justice Kavanaugh,” the report also states.

The report further stated that Mark Judge, PJ Smyth, and Leland Keyser were all interviewed.

These three individuals were all named by Christine Blasey Ford. Ford claimed they were present in the house when Kavanaugh allegedly threw her on a bed and sexually assaulted her during a party in the early 1980s.

The report also details evidence to support a criminal conspiracy between one of the accusers and her attorney, Michael Avenatti:

“Indeed, the evidence appears to support the position that Julie Swetnick and Mr. Avenatti criminally conspired to make materially false statements to the Committee and obstruct the Committee’s investigation.”

Several other alleged incidents claiming to involve Kavanaugh, that were said to have occurred in different states, were also found not to be credible.

Chairman Grassley also requested an investigation into Judy Munro-Leighton, who anonymously claimed Kavanaugh raped her. These allegations were proven false by her own admission, and a criminal probe request has been submitted to the Department of Justice.
