After only 6 months months of time on the Congress-clock, the inevitable has finally happened.
The new “squad” of extreme-left freshman congresswomen have finally turned on their own and made a mockery of the entire Democratic party.
That’s right- the Fab Freshman are now insinuating that Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is the R-word… yes, a RACIST… Just look at some of the comments being made and judge for yourself.
From Rashida Tlaib:
“It is very disappointing that the speaker would ever try to diminish our voices in so many ways. Guess what? We know what it feels like to be dehumanized. We know what it feels like to be brown and black in this country.” (On ABC’s “This Week” with Martha Raddatz on Sunday)
And from Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ Chief of Staff…
As reported by Fox News:
Saikat Chakrabarti, Ocasio-Cortez’s chief of staff, also sent out several tweets claiming that moderate Democrats were oppressing minorities.
“Instead of ‘fiscally conservative but socially liberal,’ let’s call the New Democrats and Blue Dog Caucus the ‘New Southern Democrats.’ They certainly seem hell-bent to do to black and brown people today what the old Southern Democrats did the 40s,” Chakrabarti wrote in a now-deleted tweet.
And from AOC herself, speaking with the Washington Post on Wednesday:
“When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood. But the persistent singling out … it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful … the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”
“Singling out of newly elected women of color?” Ouch! Those are fighting words that are normally slung at Conservatives.
So what is happening? Why the unraveling?
Some would say it’s due to Trump’s success, but regardless of the cause, Politico reported that Pelosi stepped in to try to talk some sense and bring some party unity:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi chided progressives in a closed-door meeting Wednesday, calling on them to address their intraparty grievances privately rather than blasting their centrist colleagues on Twitter.
“So, again, you got a complaint? You come and talk to me about it,” Pelosi told Democrats, according to a source in the room. “But do not tweet about our members and expect us to think that that is just OK.”
Rather than calm things down, Pelosi’s “tweet” comments just seemed to make things worse.
Conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh shared his thoughts on his radio program on Thursday to try to explain the strange phenomenon:
“The Drive-By Media doesn’t know what to make of this. The Drive-By Media desperately wants Democrat unity. The Drive-By Media has been running the Democrat Party. Do not doubt me on this, folks.
The Drive-By Media, I really believe, has been the energy behind the Democrat Party for a long time. It used to be the Drive-By Media was an adjunct, a branch office, if you will. I think they are headquarters. I don’t think there’s any question about it. And the Drive-By Media is unable to maintain unity.
You know how they have tried to maintain unity on the Democrat side? Just by focusing on get Trump, get Trump, get Trump, because that’s what they think will unify the rest of the party.”
Unity is the last thing that they have at this moment with all Democrats taking sides in the war between Moderate vs. Extremist.
Do the Democrats stand a chance in 2020? Or will it be a massive red wave?
