MELTDOWN: NYT Reporter Gets Mega-Triggered Over A Song Being Played In The White House

“Trump is Hitler and everyone who works with him is a Nazi.” Liberals have been repeating the same line for years. It’s like they’re stuck in a loop.

Enter The New York Times‘ Maggie Haberman, who says the White House is overrun with Nazi’s because of…wait for it…a song from “The Sound of Music.”

From Daily Wire:

Members of the press were left reeling Thursday after the United States Marine Corps band played the song “Edelweiss” from the “Sound of Music” as reporters were being led into the White House for a presidential briefing on the Mueller report.

The band, which plays at the White House for special events was, apparently, running through a classic movie themes medley, and played “Edelweiss,” as part of a retrospective that included “The Sound of Music” — the theme song from the musical — “Over the Rainbow” from “The Wizard of Oz,” and “When You Wish Upon A Star” from Disney’s “Cinderella.”

But Maggie Haberman, the White House reporter for The New York Times, apparently saw an ulterior motive. “Does…anyone at that White House understand the significance of that song?” she tweeted.

It appears that Haberman is convinced the White House is subtly suggesting that the White House is simply overrun with Nazis, and that “Edelweiss” is somehow identified with Nazi Germany. What a connection!

CAST YOUR VOTE: Should President Trump CLOSE DOWN The Southern Border?

A woman who works for the Biden Institute in Delaware said a line from President Trump’s CPAC speech was something Adolf Hitler would say.

The funny thing? Former Vice President Joe Biden said the same exact words just a few years prior.

Check this out…

From Daily Wire:

Trump, according to a short excerpt on Mediaite, talked about “reclaiming our nation’s priceless heritage,” during his CPAC speech. It ordinarily wouldn’t be questioned or even noticed in a speech like Trump’s:

“The men and women here today are on the front lines of protecting America’s interests, defending America’s values, and reclaiming our nation’s priceless heritage. With your help, we are reversing decades of blunders and betrayals. These are serious, serious betrayals to our nation and to everything we stand for. It’s been done by the failed ruling class that enriched foreign countries at our expense. It wasn’t America first, in many cases it was America last. Those days are over, long over.”

But these are not ordinary times. Samantha Vinograd, who is listed as a senior adviser at the Biden Institute at the University of Delaware (named after former Vice President Joe Biden), took to CNN to claim that Trump’s “heritage” line was insulting.

Vinograd, whose father is a survivor of the Holocaust, noted, “His statement makes me sick, on a personal level, preserving your heritage, reclaiming our heritage, that sounds a lot like a certain leader that killed members of my family and about six million other Jews in the 1940s.

But if “reclaiming our … heritage” is problematic and reminiscent of Hitler, then Vinograd should also be upset with someone else: Joe Biden.

In 2011, while speaking at the Florida Democratic Party Convention, Biden said, “It’s time to fight back. It’s time to reclaim our heritage!” The former vice president made these remarks while stumping for then-President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign.
