For a woman who has no problem offering to raise taxes on the American people, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) can’t get around to paying her own.
Doesn’t that sound a little hypocritical?
What about that whole “fair share” thing?
Check this out…
From New York Post:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to pass sweeping tax hikes on the wealthy, but the freshman lawmaker might want to take care of her own unpaid tax bill first.
Brook Avenue Press, a company she founded in 2012 to publish children’s books in The Bronx, owes the state $1,870.36 in corporate taxes, public records show.
The state slapped the company with a warrant on July 6, 2017, two months after Ocasio-Cortez announced her candidacy to run against Democratic incumbent Joe Crowley for the district that encompasses parts of Queens and The Bronx.
The state requires businesses to pay a corporation tax on a sliding scale based on revenue. The minimum payment last year was $25.
“The company probably got numerous letters from the state and probably ignored them,” one New York City accountant theorized.
Public records show the state dissolved the company in October 2016, which can happen when a business fails to pay corporate taxes or file a return.
While promoting her “Green New Deal” on Showtime’s Desus & Mero, Alexandria said Americans need to start watching their hamburger intake.
You can’t make this up.
She noted: “In the deal, what we talk about — and it’s true, is that we need to take a look at factory farming, you know? Period. It’s wild. And so it’s not to say you get rid of agriculture. It’s not to say we’re gonna force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that. But it’s to say, ‘Listen, we gotta address factory farming.”
She added: “Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”

Democrats are coming out in full-force to support AOC’s plan.
Conservatives on Twitter caught on quickly, leading one person to claim “Donald Trump just won 2020.”
This is insane. Donald Trump just won 2020.

More from Fox News:
The Green New Deal nonbinding congressional resolution unveiled by Democratic lawmakers Thursday calls for economically destructive and environmentally toxic extremist policies that would be an utter disaster for our country and the American people.
The radical and impractical plan could suck trillions of dollars out of our economy, raise costs of much of what we buy, wipe out millions of jobs and plunge our country into a recession or perhaps even a depression. It would be a self-inflicted wound causing enormous harm to us all.
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., released the proposal, elements of which have already drawn support from some congressional Democrats, including several seeking their party’s presidential nomination.
