President Trump Promises To Protect Thanksgiving From The Radical Left

Democrats may have already spoiled Thanksgiving dinner for millions of Americans with their impeachment farce but President Trump isn’t going to allow the radical left to destroy it.

On Tuesday, Trump promised an enthusiastic crowd of supporters in Sunrise, FL that he isn’t going to let the culture warriors change the name of Thanksgiving to something more “inclusive” and politically correct that doesn’t offend them.

America has been under siege by extremists and campus commies who have mobilized to tear down statues of Civil War figures, the Founding Fathers and the most hated figure of all: Christopher Columbus.

VOTE NOW: Is Trump Worthy Of A Second Term?

The enemies of freedom have embarked on a mission to wipe out our history like a domestic version of the Taliban. Columbus Day continues to be stricken from the public domain with a growing number of cities and towns caving to the mob by changing it to Indigenous People’s day despite a history of respect for the man who discovered America.

During his speech in Florida, the POTUS directed a shot across the bow of the cultural cleansers by vowing to protect the sanctity of the holiday and drawing a line in the sand against those who would seek to change it.

Via The Hill, “Trump at rally vows to supporters no name change for ‘Thanksgiving'”:

President Trump claimed at his rally Tuesday night that some people want to rename Thanksgiving, telling supporters “we’re not changing it.”

“You know, some people want to change the name Thanksgiving,” Trump told the crowd in Sunrise, Fla., without offering specifics. “They don’t want to use the term ‘Thanksgiving.’”

“And that was true also with Christmas, but now everybody’s using Christmas again. Remember I said that?” he continued, echoing a common refrain from past rallies.

In the early months of his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump promised supporters to push back against the so-called war on Christmas and pledged to “say ‘merry Christmas’ again.”

“I’m a good Christian. If I become president, we’re going to be saying ‘merry Christmas’ at every store,” Trump said in 2015.

Since taking office, the president has continued to voice his support for the holiday, and he extended his remarks to the Thanksgiving holiday as well.

“Now we’re going to have do little work on Thanksgiving,” Trump said later in his remarks on Tuesday night. “People have different ideas why it shouldn’t be called Thanksgiving.”

“But everybody in this room, I know, loves the name Thanksgiving, and we’re not changing it,” he added.

Predictably, the lying media quickly played the conspiracy card despite veritable mountains of historical evidence of just how badly that the rabid left hates Christmas.

These are people whose idea of holiday joy is vandalizing nativity scenes and bullying retail employees who dare to say “Merry Christmas” and yes, they also loathe turkey day as well.

Earlier in the day, President Trump granted the ceremonial pardoning of the White House turkeys and used the opportunity to take a delightful jab at impeachment commissar Adam Schiff.
