Former First Lady Michelle Obama’s book, “Becoming,” has performed surprisingly well.
For some reason, people are still interested in learning more about the woman who was not proud of her country until husband Barack was elected president.
During a recent promotional tour stop, Obama donned an outfit worth $18,000 – you know, as one does.
Democrats: they’re just like us!
From New York Post:
For the first stop on the European leg of her book tour, the former FLOTUS, 55, arrived at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, wearing a millennial pink suit embellished with bursts of crystals by local label Stine Goya. The blazer retails for $1,350, while the matching pants go for $960.
But the bestselling author didn’t just relegate the glitz to her apparel; she finished things off with a pair of mega-carat earrings. Obama wore a pair of $16,250 diamond hoops from Vhernier’s “Pop” collection, currently available for purchase at the label’s boutiques nationwide.
Roughly 65 million people voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
Every one of them will be heartbroken to learn that former Michelle has decided to not run for president in 2020, despite some lefties believing she was the Democrats’ only chance of unseating President Trump.
From Daily Mail:
Michelle Obama has ruled out running for president at any point in the future.
The former First Lady said she wanted to ‘make room’ for younger generations who she and husband former President Barack Obama hope to ’empower’.
She made the announcement while speaking to a sell-out crowd at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX.
Opinion: Michelle Obama is the only one who can beat Donald Trump in 2020 – if only she would run https://t.co/1AHKT6pTVH

As Democrats begin their campaign for the party’s 2020 nomination, #Obama is the party’s unrivaled powerbroker. He will be the biggest speaker at the party’s 2020 convention. His wife, #MichelleObama, might be the second biggest. https://t.co/mPhQ7JObDs

The funny thing? Michelle gave former First Lady Laura Bush a gift on Barack’s inauguration day.
During an interview with ABC, Michelle admitted she was at first skeptical of Barack. Why?
Because white people liked him.
From Daily Wire:
Former first lady Michelle Obama revealed during an interview that aired on Sunday that she was skeptical of Barack Obama when she first met him because white people liked him.
Obama made the remarks during a primetime ABC News special with Robin Roberts, “Becoming Michelle: A First Lady’s Journey with Robin Roberts.”
“You’re gonna be his mentor,” Robins said, speaking on how Michelle was going to be Barack’s mentor. “He comes blowing into town, a little bit famous already. Late for the first meeting.”
Michelle: “Late. Late. I was, like, “Is he trifling?” This– the black man’s gonna be late on the first day?” I was–”
Roberts: “You– you weren’t overly impressed in the beginning?”
Michelle: “I– I wasn’t, you know? I have my suspicions when a bunch of white folks fawn on over a black man ’cause I sorta think, ‘Okay, he can talk straight so they think he’s wonderful.’”
Michelle: “So — so that was my theory. And then his name was Barack Obama. He was from Hawaii. I thought, ‘What,’ you know? So I didn’t really know what to expect. And then in walks Barack Obama. And Barack Obama has always walked like Barack Obama. Like, he’s got all the time in the world. He’s– he had that stride. I was, like, ‘Dude, you’re cute.’ But in my mind, I was, like–”
Roberts: “Not interested?”
Michelle: “Off limits. Not even not interested. I’m not gonna date the– one of the few black summer associates. Robin, how tacky, you know?”
