New Details Emerge In Reports FBI Spied On Trump Campaign, It’s Getting Ugly

New revelations from the 2016 campaign have exposed top-secret CIA and FBI source, Stefan Halper, a Cambridge University professor, for contacting and being in touch with Trump advisers Carter Page, George Papadopoulos and Sam Clovis.

On Friday, President Trump tweeted, “Reports are there was indeed at least one FBI representative implanted, for political purposes, into my campaign for president. It took place very early on, and long before the phony Russia Hoax became a ‘hot’ Fake News story. If true — all time biggest political scandal!”

Just like when Trump called out Obama for wiretapping him, the media attacked and mocked President Trump’s statement for having no evidence.

The new revelations surely won’t sit well with Trump’s base of supporters.

The Daily Caller reports:

The use of an informant is sure to raise questions on Capitol Hill as well as with Trump supporters. It remains unclear when Halper began conducting surveillance on the Trump team, whether he was paid, and whether he was directed by the FBI, CIA or both.

What exactly prompted the surveillance campaign is also a mystery. Page had been on the FBI’s radar since 2013 when he cooperated with the FBI for its investigation of a Russian spy ring in New York City. One of the Russian operatives met with Page. Page shared some of his academic research with the operative, and said nothing of substance was exchanged.

Page and Papadopoulos joined the campaign together on March 21, 2016. Weeks later, top officials at the FBI and Justice Department considered whether to warn the Trump campaign about Page because of the Russian spy ring case.

The most damning of all isn’t the fact that Comey and Lynch, a pair who played a big role in the rigged Hillary email investigation, didn’t tell the Trump team. It’s how they handled it and continued to lie about the spying.

The Daily Caller added:

Then-FBI Director James Comey and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch decided against briefing the Trump team, according to a recent report from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. U.S. officials did not want to offer the warnings for fear of alerting any Russian agents that were circling around the Trump associates, according to various reports.

The government appears instead to have opted for old-fashioned human-on-human spying.

It’s only a matter of time before the Inspector General’s report is released, which is reportedly not good news for Comey, McCabe, or Hillary Clinton.

As we previously reported at I Love My Freedom:

A new bombshell report strongly implies Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz will declare former President Barack Obama’s FBI and DOJ officials broke the law during their investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email server.

On top of all that, Robert Mueller’s investigate won’t be indicting President Donald Trump either. The witch hunt investigation is nearing its final days.

Overall, the FBI’s credibility is already in doubt, the new revelations and coming IG report won’t be doing anything to help that.
