Top Democrat Nancy Pelosi is concerned that her party’s candidates may be becoming too extreme for the mainstream and that the socialism that has taken root may come back to bit them in next year’s elections.
By now it is clear that the 2020 field is doomed to fail on a national level with the only “electable” candidate in Joe Biden being both borderline senile and corrupt and the alternative being Senator Elizabeth Warren.
Warren’s fortunes have risen in the year since many predicted that her disastrous DNA test video would be the end of her political career but the energetic septuagenarian has delighted crowds with her attacks on the rich and promises of free stuff and a class war against their perceived oppressors.
But while Pocahontas is riding high, she is in heap big trouble with moderates and swing voters who will demand answers on her Medicare For All promises and how she plans to fund it.
And socialist crank Bernie Sanders continues to hang in there having recently been buoyed by the endorsement of bartender turned congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her small army of social media followers.
However, Pelosi is warning that while socialism sells like hotcakes in places like San Francisco and New York City, it isn’t going to go over quite so well in the “flyover states” that have been sneered at by celebrities and activists in the media.
In an interview with Bloomberg, Madame Speaker expressed her concerns that the Electoral College is still the way that winners are chosen on election day.

Via Bloomberg, “Nancy Pelosi Is Worried 2020 Candidates Are on Wrong Track”:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is issuing a pointed message to Democrats running for president in 2020: Those liberal ideas that fire up the party’s base are a big loser when it comes to beating President Donald Trump.
Proposals pushed by Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders like Medicare for All and a wealth tax play well in liberal enclaves like her own district in San Francisco but won’t sell in the Midwestern states that sent Trump to the White House in 2016, she said.
“What works in San Francisco does not necessarily work in Michigan,” Pelosi said at a roundtable of Bloomberg News reporters and editors on Friday. “What works in Michigan works in San Francisco — talking about workers’ rights and sharing prosperity.”
“Remember November,” she said. “You must win the Electoral College.”
Pelosi’s words aren’t likely going to sit well with those who have attacked the Electoral College and demanded that it be eliminated because it is racist and a part of the evil patriarchy.
Critics have included sore loser Hillary Clinton who won the popular vote in 2016 by virtue of a 4 million + margin in leftist-dominated California but was beaten by President Trump 304-227 on the only scoreboard that matters.
It may be too little too late for nervous Nancy since it was she who not only enabled the socialist faction of her party but actually encouraged it through her acceptance of AOC’s squad despite their toxic anti-Semitism.
Then there is the impeachment scam, a disaster in the making that is going to cost Democrats dearly in key swing states where voters have seen Pelosi’s House refuse to legislate on kitchen table issues in order to pursue their vendetta against Trump.
Like Dr. Frankenstein, Pelosi is responsible for creating this monster and will soon enough find out that she is unable to control it when it returns to ransack the village.
