He had been talking about it for a month or so. On Friday, he made it official.
President Trump has appointed a border “czar.”
It is the former director of ICE, Thomas Homan, who will report directly to POTUS himself.
From New York Post:
President Trump on Friday announced that Thomas Homan, the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, will return to his administration as the new “border czar.”
“He’ll be a border czar. He’ll be reporting directly to me,” the president said in an interview on “Fox & Friends.” “He’s going to be very involved with the border.”
Homan’s nomination to be ICE director had been held in the Senate last year amid concerns from lawmakers over his record with the agency.
Jeh Johnson served as head of the Department of Homeland Security during the Obama years.
Johnson basically just stabbed all Democrats in the back and agreed with Trump that there is a crisis at the border.
Weird to hear from a Democrat, huh?
From Free Beacon:
The Obama administration’s Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said Thursday on Fox & Friends that the influx of immigrant caravans at the Mexico border was “a crisis by any measure.”
“This is, in my view, having owned this problem for three years, first, I know what a thousand a day looks like. I saw it myself at border patrol holding stations,” Johnson said. “I cannot begin to imagine what 4,000 a day looks like. It must overwhelm the system.”
“I think we have to get away from Democrat vs. Republican, crisis vs. no crisis. This is a crisis by any measure, and the solution inevitably is bipartisan. It has to be bipartisan. It requires a change in law,” Johnson said.
Johnson’s statement on Thursday echoes what he has said recently.
Last month, Johnson told MSNBC’s Morning Joe that “we are truly in a crisis” at the border.
Democrats believe throwing money at a problem will solve the issue, despite copious amounts of evidence to the contrary.
Need one example? How’s Obamacare working out for the American people?
2020 Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden thinks he can solve the immigration crisis at the southern border by sending more of your taxpayer dollars to Central American nations.
The force is not strong with this one.
Vice President Joe Biden proposed Tuesday that the United States of America send more foreign aid to Central American countries to stop the flood of illegal immigrants and migrants at the Southern border.
Biden criticized Trump for “demonizing people,” particularly Mexican and Central American immigrant, during a campaign rally in Nevada.
“You know, we can solve the problem at the border and it starts not at the border, we can do it by making the countries and helping the countries where they’re fleeing from better so that they don’t want to leave it in the first place,” he said.
Biden touted his efforts to create a bipartisan program to provide significant economic aid to Central America.
“It was working, the president has just now cut all that money,” he said. “And it was bipartisan, overwhelmingly passed by Democrats and Republicans.”
The Democrat Party has moved so violently left they cannot see straight anymore.
They shouldn’t even be allowed to call themselves Democrats. There aren’t any left.
