While speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper, openly Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez compared herself to the likes of Abraham Lincoln and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
She put herself in the category of the “radicals” who have shaped our American society, even though she has done nothing of note except for show off her dance moves on social media.
During the interview, Ocasio-Cortez introduced her “Green New Deal,” which she says will be paid for raising taxes to as much as 70 percent for the American people.
“You’re talking about zero carbon emissions, zero use of fossil fuels within 12 years,” Cooper told the radical socialist. “How is that possible? You’re talking about everybody having to drive an electric car?”
“It’s going to require a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now,” Ocasio-Cortez responded. “What is the problem with trying to push our technological capacities to the furthest extent possible?”
Cooper asked her how on earth this would be paid for, and she had a predictably socialist answer:
“There’s an element where, yeah, people are going to have to start paying their fair share in taxes,” she began.

“You look at our tax rates back in the 60s and when you have a progressive tax rate system, your tax rate, say, from zero to $75,000 may be 10 percent or 15 percent, etcetera.”
Cortez then said that the people in the “tippy-tops” would have to foot the bill.
“But once you get to like the tippy-tops, on your ten-millionth dollar, sometimes you see tax rates as high as 60 or 70 percent,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
Ideally, the more you make, the more you need to pay for her climate change program.
“It means that as you climb up this ladder, you should be contributing more,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.
