The fuse has burned down on the powder keg that Nancy Pelosi has been sitting on thanks her failure to discipline the freshman extremists who have hijacked the Democratic party.
In a stunning escalation that threatens to splinter the party, narcissistic firebrand Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has just accused Pelosi of racism over comments critical of the 29-year-old and her posse.
AOC’s firing of the shot that will all but certainly usher in a bloody civil war in the party came on the same day that Speaker Pelosi held a meeting to call for unity and put an end to the nasty Twitter sniping that the radicals engage in on a daily basis.
In comments to the Washington Post, the former bartender accused the Dem leader of “the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color” for daring to try to reign in the young ideologues who have become a dangerous liability in only seven months.

Via The Daily Wire, “Ocasio-Cortez Suggests Pelosi Is Targeting Her Because Pelosi Is Racist”:
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) attacked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during multiple recent interviews, going as far as to say that she believes that Pelosi is targeting her because Pelosi is racist.
“I think sometimes people think that we have a relationship,” Ocasio-Cortez told The New Yorker Radio Hour. “Not particularly.”
“The last time I kind of spoke to her one on one was when she asked me to join the Select Committee on Climate Change,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “I was assigned to some of the busiest committees and four subcommittees. So my hands are full. And sometimes I wonder if they’re trying to keep me busy.”
Ocasio-Cortez suggested to The Washington Post on Wednesday that Pelosi was a racist: “When these comments first started, I kind of thought that she was keeping the progressive flank at more of an arm’s distance in order to protect more moderate members, which I understood. But the persistent singling out . . . it got to a point where it was just outright disrespectful . . . the explicit singling out of newly elected women of color.”
You had to know that this was coming after a New York Times article in which Pelosi mocked AOC and her “squad” as basically irrelevant following their mutiny against the Trump supported Senate border security bill that Dems had to swallow thanks to their own exploitation of a young migrant and her father who drowned and the picture that sensationalized the tragedy.
According to Pelosi:
“All these people have their public whatever and their Twitter world,” she said. “But they didn’t have any following. They’re four people and that’s how many votes they got.”
It was all but certainly Pelosi’s dismissal of “Twitter world” that put the socialist diva into detonation mode.
In an uncharacteristic display of restraint, Ocasio-Cortez did not immediately go on the attack against her elder but now with the smearing of Pelosi as a racist, the relationship has been irreparably damaged.
The prickly princess also tweeted out a small list of perceived slights from Pelosi prior to launching her nuke in the WaPo.
“A glass of water could’ve [beat a 20-yr incumbt]”
“The Green Dream or whatever”
“Their public whatever”
Those aren’t quotes from me; they‘re from the Speaker. Having respect for ourselves doesn’t mean we lack respect for her.
It means we won’t let everyday people be dismissed. https://t.co/VMRkcd8xlL

The suggestion that Pelosi’s attempts to reign in the young militants constitutes racism is a sad example of just how hostile to white people that the party has become in only a few short years.
It also serves as a lesson to cynics like Pelosi who has been around long enough to know that engaging in politics of racial resentment is a volatile practice that often ends up blowing up in the faces of those who do.
The chickens have now come home to roost.
