Fox News contributor Sara Carter has exposed a secret plan from top Democrats to target President Donald Trump — and she is going public to expose them.
According to her website SaraCarter.com, she reports that Chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Elijah Cummings and Financial Services Chairwoman Maxine Waters are sending secret Memorandum of Understanding to “target” Trump and subpoena all his financial and banking records.
This information, Carter reports, came from a letter that ranking committee member Rep. Jim Jordan sent to Cummings.
These “MOU’s” have also reportedly been signed with House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, who has vowed to keep investigating alleged collusion between Trump and Russia.
A congressional official with knowledge of the MOUs told Carter that Congress does not normally use this process and that it is being used to attack Trump.
“We’d describe (the MOUs) as an agreement to conspire and coordinate their efforts to attack and investigate POTUS. This is not how committee’s normally operate. Dems aren’t interested in legislating. Only attacking POTUS.”
In the letter, Jordan asks Cummings to “provide greater transparency around your secretive conduct” and explain where he is using these MOUs and why.
“If you intend to continue to use the Committee’s limited resources to attack President Trump for political gain, I hope that you will at least be transparent about your actions. Your ability to function as a fair and unbiased finder of fact is now at grave risk. The Members of the Committee—and, more importantly, the American citizens we represent—deserve to know exactly how you are leading this Committee. I look forward to your detailed answers to these questions,” Jordan’s letter states.
So, Cummings, Waters, and Schiff have been using a secretive practice to “target” Trump and subpoena all his financial and banking records.
Despite this secretive and highly unusual practice, it has become clear to just about everyone that Trump did not collude or break the law.
During his press conference on Thursday, Barr reiterated countless times that Mueller found no evidence that Trump, his campaign, or any American colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential election.
Barr also said there was no evidence to charge Trump with obstructing justice in the Russia probe.
The attorney general also made it clear that the White House offered “unfettered access,” “no redactions,” and “didn’t exert any executive privilege, which would be within their rights.”
This means that Trump and the White House provided Mueller’s team with essentially all of the records and documents they requested.
Barr said the president declined and informed the DOJ that he wanted as much of the report made available to the public as possible.
The president has been completely vindicated after the two-year Russia witch hunt.
As Barr made clear: No collusion, no obstruction.
