Some of Beyonce’s fans have expressed their displeasure on her last-minute endorsement of Texas Democrat Rep. Beto O’Rourke. Their displeasure stems not so much for her endorsement of the Senate hopeful, but more for the timing of her endorsement.
According to Page Six, fans are roasting Beyoncé for her 11th hour endorsement of O’Rourke, with some even blaming her for the Texas Democrat’s loss to Sen. Ted Cruz in Tuesday’s midterm elections.
“We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right,” she wrote to her 119 million followers. “We need you,” she wrote via Instagram, attaching this video.

I’m feeling grateful for everyone before me who fought so hard to give us all the right to have a voice. We can’t voice our frustrations and complain about what’s wrong without voting and exercising our power to make it right. We need you. We all need each other, because when we are truly united we are unstoppable. Sending you all love and positivity on this happy voting day! Every vote counts Every race matters Everywhere.
Reactions were mixed, however some comments revealed that some fans believe her endorsement was too little too late.
“You have such a huge, influential voice and you wait until Election Day to post this?!” one flustered fan wrote. “Beto needed you sooner. Maybe you could’ve actually made a difference.”
“Lol these posts a week ago could have made the difference in young voters,” someone else noted.
Cruz captured 50.9 percent of the vote compared to O’Rourke’s 48.3 percent, sending Cruz back to the seat and Beto packing — for the moment.
While the loss was a let down for both the O’Rourke campaign and his supporters, some say the Texas Democrat is here to stay.
Hollywood celebrities are already begging him to run for president in 2020 against President Trump.
