National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd has some bad news for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Democrats regarding illegal immigration and sanctuary cities.
During an interview Sunday on Fox & Friends, Judd said it is “absolutely legal” for the federal government to transport illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities.
The CBP Union head was asked about reports that the White House considered releasing detained migrants into Democratic-controlled sanctuary cities to send a message to liberal lawmakers.
Judd called Trump’s proposed plan “brilliant” and and said it is “absolutely legal.”
“It’s absolutely legal. But I’m going to get beaten up by the hard left for this comment. But this is actually a brilliant move on the president’s part,” Judd said.
Judd went on to detail the “two layers” he saw in play regarding the proposed plan.
“If he’s doing it for humanitarian purposes, he should be praised,” Judd began. “These are cities that the city councils have consciously made a decision they’re going to accept the illegal aliens into their cities to protect them.”
Judd then addressed the other side, saying, “If he’s doing it for political reasons, this is brilliant. These people have to be released for one reason or another. And if we’re going to have to release them, why not show the sanctuary cities the same pressure that other cities are feeling.”
“From those two layers, this is a brilliant move,” Judd concluded.
Last week, Trump confirmed that his administration considered releasing detained migrants into Democratic-controlled sanctuary cities.
Adding more humor to the entire thing, apparently the White House wanted to several of the migrants to be released in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s district in San Francisco, California.
A few officials in President Donald Trump’s administration actually spoke with officials at the Department of Homeland Security about the idea.
DHS reportedly said no when approached about the idea of releasing detained migrants in cities controlled by Democrats, arguing that there could be issues of legality.
After Trump visited the U.S.-Mexico border earlier this month, he made it clear that our country is full and cannot take anymore migrants.
On Friday, the president held a round table meeting with Border Patrol agents and military officials at the El Centro sector in Calexico, California.
“The system is full whether its asylum, whether its illegal immigration, our country is full, our area is full, the sector is full, we can’t take you anymore,” Trump said. “I’m sorry, so turn around, that’s the way it is.”
The Army Corps of Engineers predicted that about 450 miles of wall, almost one-third of the total distance of the southern border, would be constructed by 2020.
President Trump: “The system is full. We can't take you anymore. Whether it's asylum or anything you want—illegal immigration—we can't take you anymore. Our country is full. Our area is full. The sector is full. Can't take you anymore. Sorry… turn around" pic.twitter.com/AxaG8IsMJc

This comes after Customs and Border Patrol as well as the Department of Homeland Security have been experiencing an unprecedented wave in migration from Central America.
Many Americans would likely support the White House plan to place migrants in Democratic-controlled cities.
Given Democrats continue to fight for illegal aliens, Trump was savagely just giving liberals what they want.
