President Donald Trump honored a major campaign promise on Tuesday and announced that the United States will pull out of the nuclear deal with Iran.
According to Bloomberg, Trump not only blasted the brazen “bloody ambitions” of Iran, he said when he makes a promise, the world will know that he means business.
The president vowed numerous times to pull the U.S. from the disastrous deal, and he has honored that promise.
During brief remarks at the White House, Trump also announced that the U.S. will reimpose the sanctions on Iran that were initially waived because of the awful deal, which was negotiated by former President Barack Obama.
There will be a 90 to 180-day wind-down period that will allow the U.S. to fully implement the sanctions on the JCPOA, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the highly controversial deal Obama unilaterally signed in 2015.
Watch his remarks below:
During his remarks, Trump slammed Iran for continuing to enrich its nuclear capabilities while funding and supporting terrorism in the region. The president ripped Obama for allowing a nation that chants “death to America” to inch toward possessing nuclear capabilities.
Trump said the deal Obama agreed to was an embarrassment not only to him, but to all Americans and citizens across the world.
“It didn’t bring calm, it didn’t bring peace. And it never will.” Trump said.
Trump said the Obama administration sending cash pallets and billions of dollars to the “murderous regime” was a complete embarrassment to the world.
The president said Iran is going to insult and threaten the U.S. because of the deal, but said he doesn’t blame them for not wanting to give up the great deal Obama gave them.
When leaving the room on Tuesday, Trump looked at a reporter, pointed his finger, and said: “this will make America safer.”
Social media erupted with Trump’s announcement, with many praising the president for getting tough with Iran and honoring his commitment to voters to pull out of the deal:
From its very inception, the Iran Deal was nothing short of a foreign policy debacle. President Trump is absolutely right to reinstate sanctions and withdraw from the agreement.
The United States can do better—and we will. This is a victory for a safer and more secure America.

Trump pulled out of the Iran deal, slapping on new sanctions. Iran is our enemy.
Meanwhile, John Kerry is giving Iran advice. John Kerry is siding with the enemy. John Kerry is a traitor.
