Lets take a live look at Liberal reactions:

The four swing votes had announced on Friday how they would vote, so there wasn’t much drama on Saturday. Senator Daines wasn’t in attendance due to his daughter’s wedding, but it didn’t matter.

GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska voted “present” since Daines was absent, and Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia voted “yes.” Republican Sens. Susan Collins of Maine and Jeff Flake of Arizona also voted “yes” to confirm the Judge.

The final vote on Saturday wasn’t necessarily as drama-packed as Friday afternoon on Capitol Hill, but it was still filled with thousands of angry protesters in Washington D.C.

Leading up to Friday afternoon, many were on the edge of their seat waiting to see what Flake, Murkowski, Collins, and Manchin would do.

On Friday morning, Flake announced that he was going to support Kavanaugh because the FBI report was “thorough.” Soon after, Collins delivered an incredibly powerful speech from the Senate floor, and she came out swinging against liberal groups and Democratic Senators who have defiled the confirmation process and dragged Kavanaugh through the mud.

“A number of senators joined the race to announce their opposition, but they were beaten to the punch by one of our colleagues who actually announced opposition before the nominee’s identity was even known,” the Maine Senator said.

Collins said Democrats have taken Kavanaugh’s confirmation process to “rock bottom.”

“Interest groups have also spent an unprecedented amount of dark money opposing this nomination,” Collins said.

She went on to excoriate Democrats for violating longstanding the senatorial process.

“Our Supreme Court confirmation process has been in steady decline for more than 30 years. One can only hope that the Kavanaugh nomination is where the process has finally hit rock bottom,” Collins said.

“I believe we’re dealing with issues right now that are bigger than the nominee, and how we ensure fairness and how our legislative and judicial branch can continue to be respected,” the Maine Senator said.

Within minutes of Collins fiery speech, Manchin released a statement saying he will support Kavanaugh.

“I have reservations about this vote given the serious accusations against Judge Kavanaugh and the temperament he displayed in the hearing. And my heart goes out to anyone who has experienced any type of sexual assault in their life. However, based on all of the information I have available to me, including the recently completed F.B.I. report, I have found Judge Kavanaugh to be a qualified jurist.”

Prior to Collins and Manchin announcing their support for Kavanaugh on Friday, Senate Republicans passed a major hurdle by voting 51-49 to advance the Judge’s nomination into the final stage.

Trump vowed on the campaign trail and throughout his presidency to nominate conservative judges who will interpret the law as it was written.

And now the president has successfully gotten two highly qualified judges onto the nation’s highest court in less than two years, giving conservatives a strong 5-4 majority on the bench.
