The plot thickens…
Newly obtained emails by Fox News show infamous anti-Trump FBI agent Peter Strzok emailing about his concerns of the Obama White House’s appearance of non-interference within the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
In January of 2016, Strzok wrote a damning statement to Bill Prestap, a top FBI counterintelligence official, and colleague Robert Jones.
Strzok said, “Certainly the WH is going to do whatever it wants, but there is a line they need to hold with regard to the appearance of non-interference.”
Not only is it concerning that an FBI agent is worried about the way this could shape politics, but it’s even more concerning how Strzok mentions “the appearance of non-interference,” like he knows real interference is happening.
Fox News reports:
Strzok also noted those comments in his email, saying: “This coupled with the President’s ‘no harm to national security’ statement provide a couple of data points for senior execs if the issue ever comes up in discussion at the White House.”
Both Strzok and fellow FBI official Lisa Page were back in the spotlight this week after House Republicans named them in a letter to the Justice Department and FBI seeking a criminal investigation of key figures involved in 2016 controversies.
Strzok was the lead agent on the Clinton email case known inside the bureau by the code name “Mid Year Exam” or MYE. He later gained notoriety after Special Counsel Robert Mueller removed him from the Russia probe after anti-Trump text messages were uncovered between him and his mistress, FBI attorney Page, who was working for the FBI’s Office of General Counsel.
Fox rightfully points out Comey wasn’t the only one concerned with the way the Obama White House and Department of Justice was downplaying the investigation. Clearly, Strzok had some major concern, but it doesn’t appear his concern had anything to do with equal justice under the law, rather, the political agenda he was helping push.
Worth noting, Peter Strzok still has classified status even with all the recent revelations via his texts and emails.
On April 18th, Ryan Saavedra was quick to report on a new criminal investigation into major players, “11 members of Congress have asked AG Jeff Sessions, FBI Director Chris Wray, and US attorney John Huber to conduct a criminal investigation of the following individuals: -James Comey -Hillary Clinton -Loretta Lynch -Andrew McCabe -Peter Strzok -Lisa Page.”
Comey was caught lying to Congress and leaking, his number 2 just got referred to criminal charges, Strzok and Page were launching conspiracies right under his nose, and Comey thinks he's qualified to write a book on good leadership?
