When Barack Obama dropped the citizenship question from the 2010 census, he was the first president to ever do so.
Kind of says something, doesn’t it?
With all the back and forth regarding the question on the 2020 census, Attorney General Bill Barr just dropped a bomb.
From Post and Courier:
In a visit to South Carolina on Monday, U.S. Attorney General William Barr said the Trump administration will present a legal work-around that will allow a question on citizenship to be added to the 2020 Census.
Speaking to reporters after a scheduled stop at a federal prison, Barr said, “I think, over the next day or two, you’ll see what approach we’re taking and I think it does provide a pathway for getting the question on the census.”
He did not provide details in his brief remarks.
Barr also expressed little concern for the pending testimony of former special counsel Robert Mueller to federal lawmakers next week on his investigation into U.S. election interference by the Russian government.
With Mueller scheduled to testify before two House committees July 17, Barr said he was “disappointed to see him subpoenaed,” after special counsel had expressed reluctance to testify.
Barr said he doesn’t think the testimony serves a purpose after Mueller said he would stick to the content of his original report.
If you’re a conservative, be careful. You are liable to be punished for even the slightest infraction.
If you’re a liberal, don’t worry. You can do and say whatever you want – literally, anything – and you’ll get a pass.
That is life in 2019.
Unfortunately, that’s how things are going to be for the foreseeable future.
Let’s take late night talk show host Stephen Colbert, for example.
The man who replaced David Letterman on CBS is a liberal who said – on live TV, mind you – that he wanted to strangle the attorney general of the United States.
Has the network said anything? Have Democrats condemned his words?
Nah, bro. Stephen’s in the clear.
Speaking of Barr’s appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee earlier in the day, Colbert said, “It was incredibly frustrating to watch; filled with legalistic hair-splitting and political ass-covering. I’d say it made me want to wring his neck but I’d need like five more hands!”

Now that Barr has set the record straight once and for all regarding Donald Trump and Russia “collusion,” liberals in the media are absolutely losing their minds.
Of course, so are liberals in Hollywood and Congress.
Disgraced journalist Brian Williams, who was caught in a lie about a helicopter crash in Iraq in 2003 (more on that below), has now dubbed the AG “Baghdad Bill Barr.”
From Free Beacon:
MSNBC anchor Brian Williams was deeply disappointed in Attorney General William Barr Thursday, calling him “Baghdad Bill Barr” after his press conference declaring Robert Mueller found no collusion by the Trump campaign with Russia.
The nickname is a reference to Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf or “Baghdad Bob,” the information minister for Saddam Hussein who lied to the public about the Iraq War. Barr made a statement and took questions Thursday morning before the release of the full report, and Williams expressed deep disappointment in Barr’s declaration there was not collusion.
“It would harken back to a conflict decades ago, we would not be surprised if some headline writer somewhere came up with Baghdad Bill Barr for what we saw today,” Williams said.
He went on to repeat all the ways Barr said Mueller found “no collusion,” as if this were a strange thing for the attorney general to talk about when Mueller’s findings on collusion were a singular obsession of the media for the better part of two years.
