The leader of the Democratic party has flown to the defense of her fellow freshman following President Trump’s criticism of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s heinous and disrespectful remarks about 9/11.
In just over three months, the Somali-born Omar has found herself at the center of multiple controversies for statements that many have found to be ignorant, anti-Semitic and even downright anti-American and once again, she triggered outrage over remarks that were dismissive of the most terrible day in the nation’s history.
Omar’s latest troubles stem from comments that she made at a banquet for the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) last month:
“Here’s the truth: Far too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen. And frankly, I’m tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it”
“CAIR was founded after 9/11, because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”
Some people did something?
The president was sufficiently disturbed by Omar’s remarks and drew the ire of his enemies when he tweeted out a blistering video featuring footage of the burning World Trade Center along with a snippet of her offensive speech.

Enter the Whopper queen with another one of her
lies distortions served up piping hot.
Socialist firebrand Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was quick to once again rush to Omar’s defense with yet another one of her trademark Twitter missives that sought to turn the tables on critics and paint the congresswoman as the victim.
For good measure, the Twitter diva also claimed that anyone who dares to call out Omar is guilty of putting her life in danger and demanded that the cowardly members of Congress who are terrified of her social media mob to punish President Trump after he bodyslammed the mouthy malcontent.
Predictably AOC also was quick to whip out the Nazi card by shamefully trivializing Holocaust victims with by invoking Pastor Martin Niemöller’s famous warning on the rise of totalitarianism in 1930s Germany.
Ocasio-Cortez just responded to Trump's tweet calling out Omar for trivializing 9/11 by suggesting that Trump is targeting Omar the same way that Adolf Hitler targeted Jews.

Via The Daily Wire, “Ocasio-Cortez Says Trump Violently ‘Targeting’ Omar, Compares To Hitler”:
Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) rushed to the defense on Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Friday, suggesting that President Donald Trump calling out Omar represented “dangerous incitement.”
“Members of Congress have a duty to respond to the President’s explicit attack [email protected]’s life is in danger,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “For our colleagues to be silent is to be complicit in the outright, dangerous targeting of a member of Congress. We must speak out.”
Ocasio-Cortez added: “‘First they came…'”
The quote, “First they came…” comes from a quote of prominent Lutheran pastor Martin Niemöller, who described how people’s inaction toward Adolf Hitler led to the Holocaust. The famous quote is featured at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, which Ocasio-Cortez included a picture of in her tweet.
2020 Dem presidential candidates wasted no time in once again parroting AOC’s talking points.
Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage. She won't back down to Trump's racism and hate, and neither will we. The disgusting and dangerous attacks against her must end.

The President is inciting violence against a sitting Congresswoman—and an entire group of Americans based on their religion. It's disgusting. It's shameful. And any elected leader who refuses to condemn it shares responsibility for it.

After 9/11 we all said we were changed. That we were stronger and more united. That’s what “never forget” was about. Now, a president uses that dark day to incite his base against a member of Congress, as if for sport. As if we learned nothing that day about the workings of hate.

And others quickly joined in more dishonest attacks on Trump while implicitly taking up with Omar’s despicable mockery of that dark day when over 3,000 innocent people lost their lives as a result of the same anti-Americanism and loathing for western civilization that she has championed.
Democrats and their water carrying stooges in the press may not yet understand it but they have willingly ingested the poison that will effectively kill them as a viable political entity with their decision to allow a media-created 29-year-old demagogue who was tending bar last year to dictate the direction of their party.
And AOC is leading them right over the edge of a cliff.
