Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar is raking in massive donations after making a slew of racist, anti-Semitic, and disgusting comments.
Despite smearing Jews and Israel as well as referring to the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks as “some people did something,” liberals donors have been pouring big money into her campaign.
According to Politico, Federal Election Commission records show that Omar raised $832,000 in the first quarter of this year.
Roughly half of her donations, $415,000, came from people who gave less than $200 to her campaign, which means there are a ton of people in the nation who do not care about her racist comments.
Here’s more from Politico:
Her $832,000 haul puts her among House Democrats’ top fundraisers in the first quarter, topping nearly every Democratic incumbent running in a vulnerable district, including prolific fundraisers like Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.), who raised $830,000 for his reelection campaign inside the expensive New York media market. Freshman Rep. Josh Harder (D-Calif.), who represents a central California swing district, out raised Omar with a $873,000 haul.
Omar’s campaign spent $241,000 and had $607,000 in cash on hand as of March 31.
Omar represents a safely Democratic, Minneapolis-based district that she won by a 56-point margin. She succeeded now-state Attorney General Keith Ellison in Congress, winning the Democratic nomination in a six-candidate primary with 48 percent of the vote.
Omar came under fire earlier this month for describing the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks as “some people did something.”
Late last week, Trump shared a video to his Twitter account that showed Omar making her comments at an event last month for the Council on American–Islamic Relations.
Omar described 9/11 as “some people did something” rather than saying a group of al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four airplanes, ran two of them into the Twin Towers, and killed just shy of 3,000 innocent Americans.
Trump captioned his tweet, “WE WILL NEVER FORGET!”

Since becoming a member of Congress in January, she has come under fire for making anti-Semitic comments.
As detailed by I Love My Freedom, here are just a few of the remarks she has made since becoming a member of Congress in January:
–“I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country. I want to ask, why is it OK for me to talk about the influence of the [National Rifle Association], of fossil-fuel industries, or Big Pharma, and not talk about a powerful lobby that is influencing policy?” Omar said at a policy forum in Washington, DC, last month.
–Omar apologized for a 2012 tweet in which she claimed Israel had “hypnotized” the world and committed “evil doings.”
–Omar apologized in March for stating that the American Israel Public Affairs Committee bribed Republican lawmakers into supporting the Jewish state.
Omar has a long history making anti-Semitic comments, and liberals donors are still pouring big money into her campaign.
