AG William Barr Just Smacked Omarosa With A Lawsuit

The Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against former White House aide and reality TV queen Omarosa Manigault Newman who stabbed President Trump in the back after she was terminated from her job.

As one of Trump’s most head-scratching hires, the former contestant on “The Apprentice” managed to get a gig with the administration which in hindsight, looked like a setup to gather inside information to land a book deal.

She is regularly sought out by the anti-Trump media where she engages in smearing her old boss as a racist but her short tenure capped off with betrayal is now coming back to bite her.

The DOJ is now under new management and AG William Barr has wasted little time in getting back to the business of enforcing the law — Omarosa just found that out the hard way.

The civil lawsuit alleges that the gossipy disgruntled employee failed to fire the mandatory public disclosure form within the required time frame.

Via The New York Post “Justice Department sues Omarosa for not submitting financial forms”:

The Justice Department has filed a lawsuit against former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman for allegedly failing to file a required financial disclosure report after her 2017 firing.

The civil complaint alleges that the former “Apprentice” star “knowingly and willfully” failed to “file the required public financial disclosure report after her employment terminated with the Executive Office of the President.”

The suit claims that Manigault Newman was given a “post-government employment briefing” in December 2017, after her firing, in which “she was advised of her obligation … to file a termination financial disclosure report” within 30 days as part of the Ethics in Government Act.

Manigault Newman, who served as director of communications for the office of public liaison during her government tenure, allegedly ignored multiple email requests from the Justice Department, as well as the White House Counsel’s Office, reminding her to complete and return the requested documents.

A White House attorney had emailed the controversial reality star after the 30-day deadline had passed to warn that she might face a $200 late filing fee, but she continued to not respond to repeated efforts to get in touch with her.

The offense is punishable by a fine of $50,000, which the government is requesting the ex-White House staffer be charged.

The DOJ lawsuit comes after the Trump campaign filed for arbitration against Omarosa over the violation of a non-disclosure agreement last year when her tell-all book Unhinged: An Insider Account of the Trump White House was published but fell flat.

As reported by The Washington Examiner:

President Trump’s campaign organization Tuesday has filed for arbitration against friend-turned-enemy Omarosa Manigault Newman, claiming that she broke a 2016 nondisclosure contract by disparaging the president in her new book and revealing private talks from the ultra-secret White House Situation Room.

In New York, Trump campaign lawyers filed for arbitration to force the former star of “The Apprentice” to abide by the agreement they say she signed when joining the 2016 campaign.

According to a sample of the agreement provided to Secrets, she was required to keep proprietary information about the president, his companies or his family confidential and to never “disparage” the Trump family “during the term of your service and at all times thereafter.”

The lawsuit which was filed earlier this summer will surely be jumped on by the usual suspects who will accuse the attorney general and Trump of being white supremacists for attacking a poor, persecuted woman of color.
